Healthcare and Social Care Teacher for Adult Education in Strängnäs

The Adult Education in Strängnäs consists of the school form komvux (upper secondary, basic, Swedish for immigrants, and special education). Within the framework of komvux, we conduct vocational training and courses in healthcare and social care at the upper secondary level.

The students in adult education represent a very heterogeneous group with different backgrounds, conditions, and experiences. Education and skills supply in healthcare and social care is a central part of society's and the municipality's future, and we care about our vocational training.

The interest in our healthcare education is growing – therefore, we are now recruiting two new healthcare teachers for our operations!

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for two teachers in healthcare and social care! The teaching consists of both group instruction, supervision, validation, and distance learning. As part of the healthcare and social care college, close collaboration with other organizations is central, e.g., regarding APL. As a teacher, you are also expected to take an active part in the development work of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• a teaching license with qualifications in healthcare and social care. You need to have qualifications in healthcare and medicine.
• good experience using IT as a support in the work as we use the learning platform itslearning as a pedagogical tool.
• good ability to express yourself in Swedish in both speech and writing.

It is advantageous if you have/are:

• trained as a nurse
• additional education in psychiatry/psychology
• experience in adult education within municipal adult education (komvux)
• experience in validation
• experience in distance pedagogy/distance learning
• worked with students in need of special support
• worked in a multicultural environment
• practical work experience in healthcare and social care
• qualifications in additional subjects.
